Many people think that film cameras are difficult to use and not suitable for beginners. In fact, the main reason is that most film cameras do not have such rich automatic functions. We need to manually operate both exposure and focus. In essence, however, film photography is not much different from digital photography. The reason why photography has developed to the present day is not revolutionary, but the chemical (film) or physical (CMOS) reaction of light on the photoreceptor through the lens.
As for the exposure combination, it should be the foundation of photography, whether using film camera or digital camera should be mastered. In fact, I think sometimes manual focus is more accurate than automatic focus, but it is not as quick and convenient when you need to take a picture, but it is not a big problem when you get used to it.
Compared with the simplistic digital camera, the traditional film camera has evolved into many different forms after hundreds of years of development. For the students who are just beginning, it may be quite difficult to choose a suitable film camera for them. Today, I will briefly talk about a few things we need to know before shooting film.
1. Selection of film camera
As mentioned above, traditional film cameras have evolved over the course of hundreds of years in many forms, but the most commonly used are the 135 camera, the 120 medium format camera, the large format camera, and the instant camera.
And one of 135, which is the basis for the camera must be the first choice for beginners, since 135 the size of the camera and the size of the modern digital camera, in the mode of operation, the camera is divided into 135 SLR cameras, paraxial camera, compact cameras (instamatic) and so on, also is similar to the digital camera now, so for just contact adhesive.
